Quartz is tremendously beautiful in its simplicity. Clear quartz also grows in many different formations, and each one comes with it's added vibration. For example, Double Terminated, Faden Candle, Elestial, or even Quartz with added minerals such as Chromium, Hematite, Tourmaline, Rutile, etc. While there are many different kinds of quartz out there, I am going to talk about Clear Quartz as it is often overlooked.
Clear Quartz is massively versatile and can work in nearly any situation, under any condition. It has a strong healing vibration that can clear and activate all of the chakras. It does absorb energy, so regular cleansing is a good idea, especially if used often.
This time of year reminds me of clear quartz because of the white twinkling lights of the holiday season and the hanging icicles off the front porch. It also reminds me of how simple and easy this time of year can be if you don’t allow yourself to be caught up in the chaos and drama of the holidays. At its core, clear quartz is a healer, it amplifies energies for greater and faster healing, it soothes and calms, it is protective, and can relieve pain.
I reminisce to when I was younger, my dad liked to also celebrate the Winter Solstice with the family a few days before Christmas. We celebrated Christmas, too, but this was an extra bit of ceremonial healing that he liked to do with us. He used a very large, double terminated, clear quartz point. It was simple, really. He placed the quartz on the table in the middle of the room and he asked each one of us to think of something that we are grateful for. He then had us write it down on a small piece of paper. Much of the ceremony was spent in silence as we enjoyed the crackling fire in the fireplace and watched the sparkling light dance off the crystal. It was peaceful, meditative and warming. We later burned our slips of paper in the fire and then we all ate homemade Christmas cookies. This is what I think about when I think of clear quartz. It’s that warmth by the hearth surrounded by loved ones on a cold winter's night. It’s the crisp cold air with the anticipation of snow lingering in the breeze. It’s refreshing and rejuvenative, yet cozy and comforting.
This is how clear quartz speaks to me. As a master healer, it can speak to you in your own unique way. If you don’t have a piece of clear quartz in your collection, I encourage you to find one and use it often.
